They shouldn't cause any issues, they didn't on my 2000 DSE, but it's virtually guaranteed that the cheap holesaw supplied with them won't go through the bumper.
Mind you with the bulb warning system and the Rangie's fragile electronics I relayed from the reversing lights and powered them from the accessory socket.
