had a little look around, but couldn't find anything about this, if there is please link me across.

Right, I have a 300tdi with a 200 front axle. When we were changing the axle over i managed to loose the panhard arm bolt (axle end) so popped a temp one in, then forgot all about it. Had the car wobbling badly at 50mph, then 50 & 60... then 60, 50, 40 35 so had a look and remembered about the temp bolt (only ten months later!)

Went to LR spares place to get a new bolt, mentioned 200 on a 300, got told there was only one bolt and all obsolete part numbers fed to this bolt. But it doesn't fit.

The thread section passes through the hole in the axle, but the shaft of the bolt does not. The whole lot passes through the arm brush with no issues.

Am I missing something?

The only solutions i can see is to either drill the hole in the axle out, or put a 200 brush into the arm (if one will fit) and use a use a smaller 80mm bolt.

Anyone had this happen?

It's an m14 bolt ain't it? I don't remember it being anything special  I just replaced mines with ones from an ironmonger

seem to remember getting 2nd one in can be a bitch to line up . had to loosen other end on mine to get play to line it up

My axle end was easy, one at the chassis required me shimmying the steering wheel whilst a mate knocked the bolt through with a hammer as soon as it lined up. Be aware though that if you're replacing both bolts then the top chassis end bolt will need to be longer. Mines certainly did as if it was the same size as the bottom bolt the threads would barely clear the mount enough to get a nut on
