Help needed.
I bought a nice Defender 90 County. I need to find the paint code to get a can made up. Unfottunately the vin plate is from an older vehicle
Is there somewhere on the body I can get the code from? Metallic deep red.

Bought it from a dealer outside Belfast.
Checked on the gov website first, taxed and tested as a 1972 88" Land Rover. Newish type Defender County body. Told it was on old chassis. Now worried

I’d be a bit worried. At worst it’s a ‘ringer’, VIN plate taken off older vehicle and used on a stolen newer Defender. Could be that previous owner owned both older Series and newer Defender and used the Series identity to gain tax-exemption. Could be a complete rebuild which should be on Q plates.
Either way, sounds like the dealer shouldn’t have sold it to you as is.

Did you check the Chassis number?

Is it on COIL Springs??
