I have just bought a Defender and as with most Landys it needs some repairs. I have looked on the chassis plate and where it says paint code and trim etc it is blank. All the other info is there, chassis number etc etc but the paint code bit is blank!! I think its Rioja red, but not sure. Is there any other way of finding out? I put a pic of it on my gallery, if anyone knows what colour it is that would be helpful.

ring the landy dealer, they should be able to tell you the paint code form the chassis number or from the number plate (providing its the original colour) or check out the paint codes sticky on here...

Thanks for the reply mate. I did have a look at the chart yesterday and indeed Rioja was on that year, but without a paint code it seemed hard to be sure. I will ring the Landy dealer in Inverness with the chassis number and see if they can help.

Why are we confused?.
According to the chassis plate my 110 is apparently Alveston Red while the delivery note and invoice state Rioja red.
I've recently been doing some touching up and after a a good deal of trial and error I've found the best match to be Daewoo Ruby Red Pearlescent!!!
