help! both key fobs have stopped working on my 4.0L hse 2000 reg message centre says when trying to start engine disabled any ideas ???
both have new batteries in them !!

Have you locked car with fob then opened it with key? Fobs need re syncing but you cannot do it with car in alarm mode. You need to enter the EKA code then re sync keys.

Are the batteries correct and in the right way? Does the LED light when you press a button??

Will try eka code then try again.both led s on fob light up on inserting in door when trying to sync.

Have you just changed batteries? if so use resync method in handbook

Ok,update have tried EKA with out key fobs using emergency key still will not start engine gives message on display engine disabled any ideas

Good news tried sync one more time tonight ,
carefully and slowly with precise movements and both keys sync'd successfully
many thanks for all the offers of help and all the advice.
