Hi all had my 4.6 petrol off the road for the last 2 years but its time to get her back, everything seems fine, i had to get in by keylock and she seems fine except the rome wont open her, the led flashes but nothing happens, any ideas how to find out if its the remote or the car electric at fault please

Have you tried locking the car with the key and then repeatedly pressing the unlock button fast.

Stick the key in the ignition, turn it (dont start it) and then use the open and closed buttons to sync it

Depends on the year I think should sync with key in door open and lock

Its a 98, works fine in the ignition so will try sincing the various ways

Insert key, press lock button and turn to the left ,keep button pressed for 5 seconds. That should resync the fob . If not do a search , type resyncing key fob and the poster @mozz smith

Hello, Arthur, how are you doing mate.Did you get shut of your motor? Haven't been on here for a while so I guess you did. I'm afraid the bakery has closed down here,I prefer cheese and biscuits myself. I think its Popeye, the sailorMAN gives it away Take care.

Ok so the remote wont sync but found another one that works although it says the battery is low so thinking the first one must be faulty

What key number if it? My second key (#4) won't sync after the battery has been off until I sync the #1 key and then open it with the #1 key fob. After that it syncs fine.

Stick a nanocom on it and clear the RF memory.
Twice now I have found this to be a cure for a fob that won't work, while the "other" fob works fine.
First time around it was Key 1 that wouldn't work, but key 2 would..... cleared the RF memory and both worked.
Disconnected the battery this week for a test and then it was Key 1 would work and key 2 wouldn't. Again...cleared the RF memory with nanocom and both began working.
Go figure. P38's are a law unto themselves.

Mine will go into one sometimes, on just one of the keys, it wont lock it, I have to press open a few time, then it will lock it
