Ok went to Kwik ####itup and had a re gas... was empty within a few hours, (got a refund so not too bad so far) while I was there the guy gave me a card, rang him just now... (on a Sunday) told him I suspected a leak... right away over the phone he just came out with "its the condenser" the guy must have fantastic incite to know without seeing the car, putting dye in and pressurising the system to know exactly the problem....

So anyone know (before I google) rather have recommendations, anyone local (around the Heathrow aria) that I can contact ??? ta mucho guys

The most common cause on the P38 is the Condensor....

Trouble is getting one to fit the Diesel model is a pain and expensive....

I used Merityre in Sunbury for my re-gas, they can also do a diagnostic and test too....

Just had a look at there website, its the same as KF it purges and tries to detect leaks, but if its a small one then it isn't sensitive enough to detect it

A vacuum test will always show the leak.
I had no problem finding a new condensor on Ebay for my diesel, just make sure it's the right size, early and late are different. Fairly easy job to change.

That's the early one for the diesel, 01 to 02 is a different size.
Not sure if Dopey is running a V8 or a diesel.

Dopey runs a Diesel....Pre-EGR... so should be easier to find one!

So Island 4 x 4 have them but can be found cheaper on Ebay.

The O rings are a special material for aircon, I seem to remember only 2 but of different sizes, they should come with the condensor. You don't need to touch the receiver/dryer.
