So following on my thread about buying my new P38 last weekend I had the issue where the engine overheated when putting the heater on hot. I got it home and changed the thermostat and the cooling system now seems OK but when on 28 degrees or high it still blows cold when the engine is up to temperature.

I removed the cooling hose going into the heater matrix in the engine bay and it hot coolant was being pumped and then I removed the outlet from the heater and it was pumping coolant out so the heater rad is getting hot it seems.

Could there be something wrong with the blower/heating in the cabin and where should I start?

No I don't. Does anyone in Leicestershire or Northamptonshire have one to check? I'm in Market Harborough.

Guess you could try putting it on LO (both sides) and then HI (both sides) and see what happens?

Nothing happens temperature wise but with the ignition on and engine off I think I can hear the servos/motors moving the flaps.

That sounds positive. If still no book symbol then you might be lucky ... unless a previous owner had them out and didn't put them back right.

Got one here in Bucks if he fancies a drive. A bit closer! It was a GEMS one, wasn't it?

Hmmm. That's the THOR. Can try it. might work. Never tried it on a Thor before.
