Hi all just done something really silly, air con fans not running so powered up fans one at a time found one siezed up. freed up powered up ok. disconnected what i thought was the fan sensor switch brown plug on top of the inlet mailfod next to temp gauge sender. Powered up heard a pop both fans came on and stayed on no ignition on. Engine failed to start, started after a while with throttle but only running on 6 cylinders very lumpy won't idle. I think ive blown up the ecu. All fuses intact. There is no voltage at the sensor wire now.

Can any one point me in the right direction as to where the engine ecu is and to confirm im a pratt and damaged it?

Model is 96 4.6 hse

battery off then back on again might help!!!

tried battery reset, Just ordered a replacement ecu off ebay will get it programmed and hope it does the trick!
