i've got a '97 P38 4.6 HSE. What colour should the grille be? Mine's a sort of grey, and I'm wondering if it's faded, or was originally that colour...doesn't seem to match up with the bumper etc.

I have same vehicle and same colour grille. No idea if it's correct.

Mine's got chrome on. Pretty sure it isn't original but looks good!

I have a '97 4.6 HSE too, and mine is a sort of light greyish.
I'm pretty sure they were much darker when new though. Dark grey if not black to match the bumpers.

These are press shots of the very first cars made. The grilles look black to me?
There are videos on YouTube of people using a heat gun on car plastics to bring them back to the right colour. You could try that!

Mine was grey but I had it sprayed the same colour as the car, looks a lot nicer now

Thanks folks. I might try to darken it, or even spray it black.
