hi all sold my p38 i can honestly say they are the worst motor ever good riddings to it
 
replaced it with a subaru impreza wrx mint car, i would sooner have a mini metro than 1 of them at least you know it will start in a morning and you can use the internet without it shutting down best thing to do is buy a 90 or 110 the p in p38 stands for **** take

more likely thank **** it has gone, only p38 I would own is one to scrap-I don't miss mine at all.
 
azz what was your p38s condition like/cost you?, theres no point coming on here moaning like **** about a motor that cost **** all and was a shabby piece of **** to start with. if you paid a **** load for one then i might reason with you, then again i might not as you'd spend a **** load on a dog.
 
I've just bought another one off eaby p384.6 hse 2000 V
got to collect it tomorrow 180 miles away
so thats 2 of the things now

Mine was full service history and from memory about 75 k when I had it,spent money on various serviceable items, having seen several go tit's up and associate at local land rover specialist having dropped liners etc weekly coming in- ****ed mine off before it became a pain in the arse.

Sold it on at a fair price as it was tidy, bottom line is they have too many show stopper issues as anything more than a toy
 
sounds like you had a good'un fanatic, but i can see your point with f""king it off, thats why i went for a diesel.
 
Funny aint it I take my p38 4.6 regularly on work trips to Berlin use it everyday and do about 20k a year and sure have a few probs here and there but only from friggin using it it is no worse than any other expensive motor I have owned - I think the problem is that some people are not used to owning complicated motors and get ****ed off when something goes wrong if you want simple there is always a fiesta or similar:D:D

Or if ya want size, get a Tran**** or LDV van :eek::eek::eek:

Like any motor.....if ya get a good one ur laffin, get a lemon, it'll cost! ;)
