anyone had any glow plugs from island 4x4,they seem a bit too cheap,my local rangie rip off stealer charges £8 each plus v.a.t
cheers for any advice.

I had 4 for my 200TDi Disco - they were Britpart ones, but work ok.

Try and get Bosch Duraterm plugs......not cheap but last for ages

Go to the OEM section of Island 4x4 for Beru and Delphi glow plugs.

The M51 engine seems to be very choosy about glowplugs, cheapo's do not work. Get BERU, NGK, Bosch or Delphi.

Hi

I put a set of NGK plugs in mine last November and now she starts before i put the key in, well almost but the difference is like having a new car again.

get some quality plugs dont scrimp on a few pounds.

Just did a quick search and found some helpful answers.....

When engine becomes difficult to start.
When dash light takes a log time to go out.

So I guess there is no set interval like spark plugs, as the glow plugs just start the engine, and not keep it going like a spark plug.
