R Rangey-V8 Formerly known as Simon1975 Jan 10, 2011 #10 Just did a quick search and found some helpful answers..... When engine becomes difficult to start. When dash light takes a log time to go out. So I guess there is no set interval like spark plugs, as the glow plugs just start the engine, and not keep it going like a spark plug.
