could anyone tell me if I could put a manual discovery gearbox into rr p38 2.5dse with the bmw engine please

Is the DSE manual or auto?

just done intro on the main section , its a manual box

I think data meant the car, IIRC the disco r380 and the p38 r380 are slightly different, sure its something to do with selector housing

But you didn't say whether the car was an auto or manual to begin with

box is basically the same but a disco box or any other wont fit, apart from input shaft bell housing ,selector housing, rear housing and mainshaft length are different

Thanks looks like il have to bite the bullet on a p38 box was hoping that the disco box would have fit cos they are alot cheaper

Auotbox
Autobox ECU
BeCM for the Auto (or can it be programmed to tell it it is now an auto?)
Lots of wiring changes
Deep pockets

Think becm can be changed with right gear to make it think its a auto
