It's painful admitting when you make a mistake, but I make a habit of it so nothing new!

The centre box on my V8 is lookin like swiss cheese, so ordered a cheap one off fleabay (tryin to get the car back into running shape without havin to remortgage)...me bein a muppet failed to check the part numbers and it's for a 2.5 Diesel.
It looks pretty damn similar but not tried fitting yet cos I'm gonna have to cut the old one out. Just thought I'd ask on here if it's possible to use the centre box from a diesel on the V8? (Part number is ESR3194)

Failing that...anyone in South Wales area need a new centre box for their 2.5 diesel at a very good price? :D

I was under the impression the exhausts were identical on both diesel and petrol. If the diameter of the inlet and outlet pipes are the same on both boxes, just use it. It's only a silencer at the end of the day.

I cut mine at the elbow's and welded in a strait pipe for my MOT earlier in the year then bought a new one one which is still in the shed as I haven't got round to fitting it yet (truth is it sounds nicer at the moment). Probably get round to it eventually, as said above I also think from that box back is the same for all vehicles. But don't quote me lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just thought I'd put a quick update in...centrebox fitted fine, it doesn't have the indentation for the radius arm nut but it's an inch clear anyway.
