Anybody know where I can find the part number for exhaust downpipe for 1996 dse auto. Mine has the flexi close to the turbo and this type not shown in my copy of rave. Can it be replaced with the other type that has flexi nearer to cat? It has temp. repair at moment but want to replace it.

ESR 3975 is the part number for the downpipe I think, but as prices range from £250 - £650 a new flexi welded in will be the way to go. The link you supplied Wammers unfortunately will not fit due to original flexi too close to bend so the seller informs me. Thanks for looking though.

Looked at that number it is a down pipe for the diesel but i don't see any flexi in it at all in the photos.

Cannot recall any flexible pipe on mine. Maybe the later models?

The new parts don't seem to have the flexi they must just rely on the conical connector at the flange.

Picture of Bearmach part on amazon shows it. Some suppliers show it with flexi and others without or further down the pipe near the Cat. All using same part number. It just mentions that it's for Auto versions.

Deceptive then, serious money though retail. Glad i get my bits trade.

Update. My lad removed exhaust downpipe cut out original flexi and slid 60mm I.D. exhaust flexi tubing in its place. The tubing was able to be pushed around the bends and then clamped on. Gas tight fit. £18 all in.
