Hi Guys, when the air temp is low, my 96 P38 DSE really struggles into life. I gie the glow plugs 2 heats, and the engine turns over ok, she fires, but will not keep running. Almost like fuel starvation or frozen. By low air temps i mena around 1 degree or lower. When its around 3 degrees and higher its fine.
After 2 or 3 attempts she will continue to run, but lots of smoke for first few seconds, clearly this is unburnt fuel.
Do you think the heaters are failing, I do have to give it 2 heats most times.
