Hello all !I am new to this forum, I have owned A P38 for sometime now it's a 2000 DSE.

I have the central locking issue which seems to be common with the P38, I am kicking myself for ignoring it because now the drivers door is stuck shut. It will not open regardless of what you do with the key or internal lock plunger.

I guess my question is..... is the door being stuck shut related to the c / locking issue - and how do I get the door open!

Any advice appreciated.
Regards, John

Hi All, I have put this off for a long time now, as I don't use the Range often, but took the job on today.

The instructions in the link above were a great help, but they do not emphasise enough what a pig of a job this is. I ended up using a wood zip bit in a drill to cut away the plastic housing of the lock mechanism and then using a heavy masonary drill and a large club hammer! to smash the housing open to release the latch.

NOT a job for the faint hearted!!

Anyway, hope the replacment partarrives promptly a the door doesn't shut now!
