Hello
I live in cyprus and our weather here gets quite hot up to 45c. I'm looking to upgrade my cooling system ( radiator, intercooler and gearbox cooler) as I had my temps rise during light offloading and steep hills. I was wondering if a bigger aluminium gems radiator would help instead of using the diesel one. I know there is some plumbing involved but would there be any significant improvement choosing the gems over the diesel one ? Also if you can recommend any oil cooler for my hp24 would be much appreciated.
Thank you

The GEMS RAD fits with just one new hose required but you will need to remove the fan cowl or modify it and if the cowl is removed you need to also remove the viscous fan. I estimate that you will get 20/30% more cooling from the GEMS RAD. I don't do off road but I run both my P38@s with no viscous fan using the aircon fans for cooling which works for road use in temperatures over 40C. It's easy enough to fit an additional 16" electric fan in addition.
I know that the RAD mod works because a guy in New Zealand has done it to cope with the extra heat from the M57 engine he fitted to his P38, it cured his over heating problem.
