Hi, Just replaced a radiator in my p38 manual diesel range, thought it was gonna be more straight forward to be honest! Anyway the 2 oil pipes that connect to the radiator, is this gear box oil? If so how do i check / top up the oil as some wasted as i changed the rad?

All advice much appreciated. Many Thanks

Yes, it is an arse to get out and, and yes that is the gearbox oil cooler.

Just do a level check on the gearbox, the workshop manual shows its done by level plugs, just top up until it begins to run out of the upper one.

Hi. You may also need to check it via the dipstick depending on the model.
I think later ones had the dipstick and the earlier ones you used the level plugs. Do read the manual and follow it if you have a dipstick because it is not just a case of pulling the dipstick, wiping it, and putting it back.
Click above link for the manual.
Good luck
