Hi all small problem hope you can help

i have a P38 4.0 just started up and when to set off put it in D and it stalled, and keeps doing it pulling up to a junction it stalls just will not tick over, any ideas? the car is used only once a week generally weekends, but i have just noticed i was driving my other car and tax was out so switch it over for the
range and then discovered this problem

Idle control valve sticking take it off and clean it out.

Start with fuel supply (check to see if pump is working, check for clogged filters)

Then go to electrics (dizzy and rotor, if bad buy good ones, not cheapos)

Also, check your battery for low volts. That can mess with things.

Hi Wammer i'll have a look at that, your not going to believe it tho, i quickly did a search on here, and found someone mentioning release the fuel cap to let any trapped air out, just done that and its ticking over again
