Right while on way home up the M6 I tried to switch the cruise control on, nothing happened although I did hear a relay click when i pressed the reset button but nothing when i pressed the set+ button.

I have change all the vacume hoses to silicon ones so they are all ok, just before I start to pull things apart wanted to know if anyone knew anything i should check first?

Only problem I have had is with the hoses. They might be new but its a good place to start and you may be pleasantly surprised....

Hoses were all split but I changed them to nice silicon ones so I will test tomorrow and let you know.

If the new hoses are too soft they maybe collapsing under vacuum. Also check the actuator by sticking a small length of hose to it and giving it a good suck ! The diaphragm may be split.

I have the same issue. Get a multi meter, download Rave, then start going through the 13 step diagnostics in there, I have narrowed mine down to a dodgy ECU.
If you need some spares I have a pump and inverter...

Downloaded RAVE so all set but I added new hoses so will test her later on when i go out.

As for the diaphram test i have done this and it is working fine no splits and holds its position when sucked in.

I did RAVE tests and it was the rotary coupler on steering wheel. Replaced and working...for now.

I have spare ECU and converter/inverter if needed by anybody.
