hi i now have a new problem,no power,starts perfect runs perfect,cleaned out inter cooler,new fuel filter,shell diesel,air filter clean,fuel pump is working.
when i rev the truck around 2500 rpm the pipe from the turbo to the intercooler expands,is this normal?
oh and it has a drink problem lol,no leaks but can't get enough of diesel, around 16 mpg,no excessive smoke.
i did suspect turbo,or intercooler,
need help on this please.
i have no engine light on the dash either so i am a bit puzzled, may have to go to the stealers.
it has half a tank of diesel at present.
oh and it is a manual,
and it revs quite happily, right through the range, just has no guts,i know they are not sports cars but it isn't delivering the power properly,it doesn't seem to be breathing properly.

Check that the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor pipe is in place, it goes from the rear of the inlet manifold to a little unit on the fuel filter housing. The turbo pipes shouldn't expand noticably, the may have delaminated on the inside. As for the no engine light, could be connection problems or the engine ECU, you need to get the codes read.

i would agree with data, my thought is the pipes delaminating, but i would highly advise having the fault codes read first then take it from there.

you were bang on the money, pipe was swinging away quite happily, all is well, just have to see if that has cured the fuel economy, but it does go so much better,i cannot thankyou enough.
