Hi I'm new to Landrovers and have just acquired a series 2a (1969). The engine revs wildly when not under load (between gears) but I can reduce revs by lifting the pedal with my foot so was wondering if there might be a missing spring or similar I should look for? Has anyone had a similar issue?

Try the Series section. And it might be a good idea to say what sort of engine you have, and especially if it is petrol or diesel.

Thanks Turboman, yes good point it's a 2.25 Diesel I'll go hunting
