Thought someone posted a link to a garage or ebay where this white modded FL was up for sale? Could it be the same one? Is he trying to sell it to us?

Many Freelander owners spend a lot of time on here defending the Freelander for what it's actually capable of. Then you come along and post pictures of your chavved up Freelander. Are you taking the ****?

You clearly have a shallow mindset. I for one would have no interest in a woman who judges prospective partners based on the car they drive!

I don't know what you're trying to achieve because:

- Your Freelander still won't handle any better. Freelander's handling is mediocre at best
- Your Freelander is still far from being quick
- Your Freelander is even less capable off road
- Your Freelander is now firmly in the chav market

Most intelligent people will look at your car and will think "How pointless". What next? An attempt to convert a hearse into a rally car?!
 
It was on ebay If I remember, any hope of flogging it on here=epic fail

So he's either bought it himself, and wants to tell us he's done all the mods, or he's done all the mods and couldn't sell it so he's trying to pick up interest on here. Could at least show us some more photo's of it. Can you get 22inch Grabber AT2's?

It's not so much that it annoys us (certainly doesn't annoy me) It's just the pointlessness of it all. As my father used to say. "You can't make a silk purse out of a pigs ear"
 
To be fair, the mods are quite reserved compared to the ridiculous **** they do on 'pimp my ride' - chrome rims that looks cheaper than plastic and lcd screens on the roof etc etc. Certainly has got a few reactions! Makes you wonder how many closet freelander lovers there are! :)

PS No, I wouldn't want the modified car either ;)
 
Tbh it ain't my cup of tea, but with anything in life, someone will take something and try and change it, give it a new look. You can go into any car shop these days and but off the shelf body kits to change your ' car ' into something else.

Kudos for having the balls to do it, but i wouldn't be seen dead driving it for sure.
 
I think it looks really good! majority of people who dont sit on forums all day talking about landrovers would see this car and think it looks amazing, younger drivers and most contemporary people would appreciate the work that went into the car and would deffinately be a head turner. Modern landrovers aren't even aimed at the old off road grandads that use them to go hunting or whatever they do there just to show off with the glitzy LED lights etc. So personally i'd say it fits in great, you did a fantastic job!

6 months to type a reply to a thread posted in november 2010 :)

since its been ressurected heres my reply ha ha ha

i like custom and modified motors, and i applaude anyone who puts time and effort into creating a one off..

however

the freelander was a bad choice, the mods are both ham handed and illegal in places and to make matters worse its still a freelander..

as stated those tyres and wheels are illegal due to protruding past the archs..

the tints(front drivers and passanger windows) are illegal, they must by law allow 75% natural light throu, and you can see even in the pics that isent so..

the "one off" side skirts look ill fitted and end abruptly at the front..

and since you was clean lineing the body work...why did you leave all the panel gaps ?

most of your MODIFICATION list is actually just upgrade work done..fitting a later leather interior is fitting a later freelander interior not modifing..

and if this is a advert for your work..then you imidietly lose a custermer as i would never ask a blind man to do work for me and you are obviously blind if you didnt spot your own **** ups made..

that is all :)
 
who dagged this fookin thread out of the gutter? ffs its a massive dog turd! from the badly fitted wonky mudflaps to the illegal blacked out rear lights..... but at least it wasn't done to a proper landrover
