Does anybody know the dimensions and type of the outer oil seal in the rear axle?
I should like to source locally, since DHL charges 20£ just to handle the paperwork for the shipment upon arriving in Norway even if the seal only cost 6.99£ at FF.
Would rather save that handling charge for something more costly.

Would it be worth getting a price from a Land Rover dealer in Norway to save importing the part personally?

You know I haven't even considered asking the local stealer for a price. Not since I had to buy the small 8 mm screw that holds the rotor to the hub: 9£ and it was not even made of gold.
Sometimes it may even be worth getting on a plane to LON and then import the parts myself. Can get a plane ticket less than 70£ return.
But then the beer consumption during the visit must also be added to the cost...
Anyway we have some good bearing and seal dealers around here with reasonable price levels.

For £70 I'd be tempted to courier it out there myself!

I assume this is the rubber seal on the half-shaft? The Britpart one is about £3 IIRC but I wouldn't recommend it. The Land Rover one is about £12 or was. Obvious postage will need to be taken into account.

Cannot see the Land Rover one at Island anymore so this is the closest. Not sure I'd recommend it as getting the shaft out is a bit of a pain.
