Hello all, I am in the middle of doing a Full Service on my P reg disco1. I have read alot on here about oil's etc and was hoping for some tried and tested advice from the Real Disco Men/Women on here. I would like to know what is the best bet, oil wise, for my Gearboxes and Diff. I was hoping for the real experts on here to steer me in the right proven route please. I only ask as there is a hell of a lot of different views on here, mtf94 ep90 etc etc. Many thanks for answers if any...

What engine and gearbox you got would help?

You haven't done a search yet have you.. as it's all been listed before many times even the quantities.
Look for the Biglads threads in your search results and you will always get "lot of different views" in any Forum. .

And yeah discool have done numerous searches, but so much different opinions on here, So like i was asking, What would the real disco experts on here recommend please..

Thanks for reply mate, would you recommend mtf94 or ep90 and what brand oil would be best suited please.
mtf94 or atf fof g/box ep 90 etc for t/box diffs it really doesnt matter as long as you change regulary ,you should be draining clean oil out and putting fresh in rather than waiting till oil is dirty and run round all parts in the boxes ,yearly is usual or 8-10k miles

For the engine you will need 7.5ltrs (so 2 x 5ltrs cans) of 10-40 diesel engine oil - any quality brand will do;

For the gearbox you will need 3 ltrs of MTF 94 (expensive) or Dexron II or III (III is the newer one);

Both Diffs & Transfer box you will need EP 80-90 oil GL4 or 5 - 6ltrs to do all.
