300tdi changed me cam belt about 2weeks ago, renewed the crank seal but didnt renew the o ring on the back of the crank pully (seemed ok no damage and wer'nt one in the kit) so now ive got a oil leak from bottom of the timming cover. gonna strip it down tomorrow and have a proper look.

i dont know if it was a poor quality seal what i bought off ebay or i might of caught putting it in.

slighty annoyed gotta fork out more money and time

any other ideas?

top tip dont buy cheap crank seals from ebay

That bloody o-ring held me up for a week! I did not know it was there , it wasn't in the kit and the shop did not mention it when i got the seals!

I thought of putting the old one back, but sense got the better of me and i waited to go get one, glad i did now.

Hope your belt is ok and not covered in the slippy stuff
