2001 V6

Recently started to getvery slight flicker on oil light, only when hot and only at tickover...Recent full service with all correct fluids/levels etc.

Any common causes or best plan of attack to eliminate possible cause???

Loose wire or connection if its flickering. Not sure where it is mounted on the V6, Get the under tray off and have a look around the oil pump/filter

I would personally check all levels again when cold, just to make sure.

I would test with another gauge to be sure. no good assuming all is ok because oil level is good, pump could be knackerd, relief springs could be weak. or as NI says could only be a bad conection

Ages ago I had a ford V6 that did that for years with no problems, but it might be worth geting a new oil pressure switch as it might be a bit weak and coming on too low.

Cheers all....connection had a bit of damp and sh1te in it...cleaned & wd and no light yet...still to give it good long run but ok for now
