I thought i purchased the correct oil when i got this castrol gtx 5w30 A1 part synthetic for diesel and petrol engines from asda the other day on a deal.

however reading some forums it seems its meant to be fully snythetic?

Don't worry Gaz,

It will make little or no difference - the 5w30 bit is the important part of the spec.

Get the fully synthetic next time though.

is it true though once you have used fully synthetic you have to use it all the time

They are all interchageable and 'mixable' as far as I understand.

Except Castrol 'R' of course.

Ah, I feel the nostalgia coming on - mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - I can smell it now!

Done....

Oil, oil filter, crankcase filter, pollen filter and that little pod filter thing...

Started her up and given her a run. She sounds good.

One thing I did notice though was.......


There is no undertray!!???

I'm assuming someone has thought its easier to leave it off?

Got to try and get one now
