If you mean the oil feed pipe, just remove it with grips, you may knacker it, but they are available.
Those are studs, not bolts, and they are available too! And that is why I suggested you didn't try and unbolt the turbo from the manifold, I knew they would be difficult to remove!

Bigger pipe on the bottom of turbo is oil return, undo the clips on the rubber section, and remove the pipe with the turbo.
Edit. No idea why you are tryin to undo the bolts that hold the turbo together. Why not remove the exhaust elbow? Or just undo the clamp and pull the whole elbow out of the exhaust, like I said?

Have taken apart elbow as advised but since I couldn't get the oil pipes off I decided to try other things.... you live and learn
First off, remove exhaust clamp, get under and undo the three bolts holding exhaust downpipe, then remove downpipe completely. That will give you a bit more room to undo stuff!
And if that was me, I would go over with a brush and degreaser, then hose off. Make the whole job a lot more pleasant, you wont get covered in oil, and will be able to see what is going on!
And I have lived, and learnt! That's why I said to do it that way in the first place!

Ok after another 30 mins of trying, that top nut screw whatever it is wont loosen, tried mole grips tapping on a spanner that's a fraction smaller, it seems like it's made of lead, as soon as any real pressure is put on it it just distorts.
Do I hacksaw the top of the nut off or do I cut the pipe and look to get some kind of union joint for it on reassembly?

You will need to remove it, one way or another, and then get a whole new pipe for re-assembly. Better grips may shift, or cut the pipe away from the turbo, and slide a smaller spanner down the pipe and tap it on the fitting. Hard to say without seeing it, and what tools you have.
When working on an old landrover, I don't expect many things to come apart, usually I will buy the new components first and just destroy out most of the fastenings etc. Threaded stuff on a 30 year old off road vehicle tends to be seized!
