I'm thinking of fitting one to my Td4 due to the amount of oil drawn in to the manifold.
Hello Nodge68,I fitted 2 to my MG ZS180 to reduce the amount of oil drawn into the inlet manifold. I'v not fitted any to my V6 Freelander as the amount of oil drawn in appears negligible.
Hello Nodge68,
My name is Renald. Please could you give an idea on how to connect an Oil Catch Can to my Freelander 2.5 V6? I have read on connection of the PCV valve to the input of the can, but I can't find such a valve in my car in order to find the hose. Which oil breather pipe (there are two, 1 is going to throttle body and 1 is going to inlet manifold) I should connect to the oil catch tank? Thanks a lot before hand.
That's the thing, I was asking whether anyone else had done it so I could find out whether it would be worth doing.Basically drawing on someone elses experience. I remember seeing one fitted to a Td4 at Billing a few years ago but can't remember what stand or retailer it was on.Where would you plumb it in though? In theory I thought the cyclone style breather valve did the same job anyway of condensing the oil and returning it?
Thanks a lot for your advice. I have started my own thread.I can explain where to fit it yes, however it's better to start your own thread on the subject. This is done out of politeness to the OP and to make it easier for someone else who might be interested in the subject find the information.
Oh and it's worth introducing your self in the new members section as folks like some background information about you![]()
