Is the EAS compressor electrically driven, or belt driven from engine?

if its so crap, why dont peeps use any other 12V compressor? Or is it the control circuitry?

Cos It's not that bad if the system is airtight. I've not had much trouble with EAS, but I do carry a tyre inflation compressor that would if the need arose make a temporary replacement for the EAS compressor. That's not the reason I carry it, I run the rear tyres at 28psi same as the fronts and raise the pressure if & when needed.

I thought it would be better powered by a chain via a gear train from a sprocket welded onto the rear propshaft. I reckon a 1" pitch triplex chain should do it.
