4.30am, pouring rain, pitch black country road, Pigpen "on a mission" to get home, and my wiper blade decides it wanted a divorce:eek: ...and off it went without any warning. Ohhhh the joy of Land Rovers.;)

Hi Pigpen - do yu mean it decided that it wanted a rest - or that it fancied a trip on its own in the country?

Oh no, not a rest for this one..................complete mind of its own, it just flew away, and in those conditions, no chance of finding it.

Your lucky I once had the same thing happen to me at ramming speed in the fast lane
of the M40 at night in the poring rain.
You try driving to the hard shoulder by looking out of the side windows
It's at times like that you find out adrenaline's is brown.

Ps
My Series landy wipers don't move fast enough to reach escape velocity.:D :D

paaahh! thats nowt, wait till you have complete light failure on a night with no moon while doing about 65 on a single track road. thats scarey

thats why the series has the wheel on the bonnet. to stop the bonnet flying up.
now that can be a tad interesting, at 55mph. top speed.

wipers eh? thats just kids stuff.

try slowing down on the M4 to enter works access between cones at 30mph inside lane with lorries everywhere in the pouring rain to find... wiper blade comes off!

not alot of joy...

had me bonnet fly upon a maserati once cos the **** in the garage didn't close it properly,. i'd just picked it up after getting a new front fitted cos some tulip drove into me.
300yds from garage it needed another new bonnet.

Looxury, you try doing 150mph up a farm track, wit' no brakes, no wheels, in a tornado, wit' no windscreen or seats, and two broken legs, in a 2a diesel AND NO MOON. You kids dont know your born.:D :D

ive often thought that saab had it right with the bonnet opening tother way.

less chance of scalping yourself too.

anyone here got a warwound from a bonnet catch?
my head looks like a contour map of wales.

Wot You had a steering wheel!
Looxury
Well, of course, we had it tough. We used to 'ave to get up out of shoebox at twelve o'clock at night and lick road clean wit' tongue. We had two bits of cold gravel, worked twenty-four hours a day at mill for sixpence every four years, and when we got home our Dad would slice us in two wit' bread knife.
