Righto, just got back from a long weekend and I've lost all movement in the clutch pedal, bar the last inch, clutch isn't slipping once engaged but is not easy to select first and reverse. To me it is probably either slave or fork but does anybody have any other ideas? I really don't want to change the clutch right now as I just don't have time but if needs must then I will have to.

The disco has just done about 850kms of fairly quick Road driving, around 50-60mph, and 12 hours of heavy mud plugging in the last 3 days, it's a 95 300tdi And is currently fitted with a 2 year old hd clutch. So thoughts please chaps.

would sound like you have air in there ,through poor slave or master ,though it is possible forks partially worn through or even bearing

James you are a star mate, i picked up new master, slave, damper and a fresh flexi ready to do the job but thought i would drain the old BLACK fluid out first refill and bleed and the pedal is back, good as new.

well chuffed!!!

If the fluid was black, I would be changing the master and slave anyway as a seal is probably on its way out!

you see what you said there was "probably on its way out" that to me means put the spares on the shelf and carry on, why do a job today when tomorrow will be fine? ;)
