Yes tabasco goes by lots of different names. But hot sauce is the generic name

As I said, OAT and Ethylene Glycol and Methanol are different and shouldn't be mixed.
The colour is no indication of the composition (other than as a rule of thumb).

Old engines? we didn't use antifreeze in the summer months![]()
When I changed over to OAT I drained the system refilled with water run the engine let it cool drained refilled run the engine let it cool etc etc total of 4 times, so flushed out all the Rover antifreeze and then refilled with OAT maybe over kill.... but what else is there to do on a Saturday morning.
The question is why would anyone wish to mix OAT with their existing non OAT antifreeze>

Damn, that'd be me then - had about 3 litres of antifreeze in the shed. I read the label and it said does not contain methanol, so I've been using it as a top up.
.... on a visit to B&Q today noticed that they now have a large section of motoring stuff. mainly cosmetics. In amongst they have bottles of Orange coloured A/F as well as blue A/F....
