My Mother has poor eyesight and limited hand coordination due to a stroke, but would like to learn how to use a computer and send email - Is there anything on the market suitable for people with restricted ability?

you can get a program to make the keyboard on screen then you either use the mouse or touch the screen to type, as for poor eyesight you can change the resolution on screen to make the words bigger hope this helps ;)

there is a bit in yer windaes pack especially for this very thing. dunno what its called but its there. if you reinstall windows it should give you the option, i think.

Hello,

You can change various built in settings on the computer by going to:
Start - Control panel - Accessibility Options. (I use Windows XP, however i assume it is similar on all versions of Windows).

There are also some options like on screen keyboard, magnifier, narrator etc, to choose from by going to:
Start - All programs - Accessories - Accessibility

Hope this helps,

Scott.

Thanks for the responses - I was wondering if there is an "A B C" type of guide for email etc. those.... I'l look into the set-up options, the keyboard on screen seems like a good idea
