Hi after alot of problem solving with my P38 1994 4.0 V8 i think i have narrowed my car wont idle on petrol fault, down to me fitting cheap O2 sensors, The discovery was due to fitting some old sensors i had on a second hand exhaust in the garden and suddenly the car started to idle till it gets up to temp then the car may or may not stall, this is a massive improvment. I fitted a foxwell fault reader on the car after a trip out and only one stall and the machine said O2 sensor bank one slow response, so i am going to change both semsors.

My question is? I have sunk alot of dosh into the car and was wondering what i should pay for good sensors and what brands to go for and what brands to avoid, i really dont have much money left. I paid £60 pounds for two sensors last time.

Many thanks Hayden

The only ones worth buying are the original NTK Titania 5-0v ones. The last ones I bought were £65+Vat each.
I have to say if finances are this tight a knackered 4.0v8 may not be the right car to own...

I would expect to pay that for each sensor. Any sensors it's best to get OE, that includes MAFs. The cheap ones just cause more problems as you have found.

I got original equipment NTk ones for around 90 quid for both sure it was from paddocks or island 4x4 or might have been lrdirect try all websites to see but don't use cheap eBay ones
