I had to remove the turbo at the weekend, and the nuts connecting the exhaust to the turbo cross threaded when I removed them. They don't look like standard nuts and I am in a desperate hurry to get 2 for tomorrow.

Anyone know where I can get these from?

Thanks

take them into any fastener company or b&q and they'll match them ;)

are the studs ok?
Ok, but they look like they are copper coated rather than just steel.

Studs on turbo are knackered, but 'I think' the recon turbo I am getting tomorrow will come with new studs

they won't be anything special tbh

just replace with standard unless the fastener company has any in.

if you want LR replacements try LRDirect or Rimmers but you'll have to wait for them to arrive.

Exhaust nuts tend to be much softer metal and have a special thread that deforms to lock them in place as the plastic insert in a normal nyloc nut would obviously just melt out.

Any decent motor factor will have them.

I ordered a couple from Rimmer Bros as I need to get the new turbo fitted tomorrow, and did not want to use ordinary nuts

Never knew that, I always thought they were just a tapered thread
