Hello,

I'm trying to find out which alternator i need for my 1995 300tdi as there seems to be a couple of different ones.

one website that i'm looking to purchase from refers to 'from (E)18L12423 from (E)19L00409' 'Discovery I from VA534104 and from VA703237' 'Discovery I to (E)18L12423 to (E)19L00409' is this refering to an engine number or chassis number ?
