evening all, ive now got a problem with my lights, its a defender 90, 1990 it only passed its test 2 weeks ago, ive got side lights but no dipped or main beam, i know i need to check the fuse , but what else do i need to be looking at

Look on the switch's inside the steering cowling. Corrosion is a pretty common fault with these switches, if so clean the connections. Also check that all the earths are good!

Had similar issue last year needed new dip/indicator switch wasn't to bad to replace

I found 9 out of 10 switches just need the connections cleaning!

The common to main and dip not working is the light switch. Seperate fuses for left and right, main and dip so either all four fuses gone, or the earth on both sides all unlikely to happen at once
