My defender horn never seemed to be very loud, so I bought another cheap one off the Bay just before christmas.

New one was a bit louder but still pretty pathethic. It only been on there 3 months and its even worse than the origonal.

Anyone recomend a good replacement one ?

Or is this an indication of dodgey wiring or something similar ?

Have you tried lashing a known good battery supply straight to the horn? If OK then horn fine, wiring dodgy, else Tillies New horn would fit the bill

OK. Good idea.

I can't get on Youtube at work.

I presume Tillies is some kind of ship fog horn though ?

I bought an old style klaxon off eBay and it scares cattle! It is loud and only cost a tenner. I left the old one in situ (Behind the n/s headlight shroud) and installed the new one behind the louvred slots in the o/s headlight shroud.
Leaving the old one in it's place meant a new switch, relay and wiring but it was worth the effort and it goes........
