Clunk when accelerator applied quickly from foot off completely.

Horrible vibrating noise when in 4th around 25 and 5th around 30.

Any diagnosis?

Obviously, not a lot of information, but we'll start at minimum and work up...

a frame ball joint is the usual suspect

A frame ball joint for the clunk, Prop UJ's for the vibration.

dont know but i think mine needs doing too. sounds like a slack transmission. UJ's T box bearings worth checking.

can be a bugger to get the new one in, could just slide in...dont know til you try, theres a thread here somewhere....not that difficult, especially if you can get it on a lift

its a bastid did mine the other day luckily i have a very good mechanic who works for me part time so he did most of the grunt work however it still vibrates like a beeeatch on a twin tub especially round the 60 to 70 mark in fifth he also said gearbox mount was fooked but the divvy car parts place sent an engine mount instead
