For those of you under 25 may not know what a cassette is but some of you oldies (no offence) will hopefully know.
Basically there is no power going to radio, usually it comes on when I start the engine but i get nothing, and when I press the on button it lights up for a second then dies. I've checked the fuse in the fuse box and the one in the back of the unit which are fine, also not sure if this is related but the clock only half works, so it works but doesn't remember the time and always resets back to 12:00.

Any ideas?

is it an 8 track :pound: it sounds like a faulty wire going in to the unit

if not CD players are cheep now days :pound:

Hello, first post - so hopefully this'll work...

not sure why the power would die after a second or so, I'd check connections for corrosion, or just invest in a shiny new one!

But the memory problem with the clock (and i guess radio presets if it's that advanced) will be from the wiring at the back. There should be a yellow and a red wire coming out of the radio. one will be a constant 12v connected direct to the battery and the other will be switched by the ignition so that it won't stay on when you park up. just swap these two round (modern radios have connectors you can just swap) and problem solved!
