now for another ****in problem, after fitting fuel injection pump, now i cant check if the pump is timed right, i cant get the car to start, because i am not getting any diesel to the pump,no diesel coming out of hose after filter, and i cant sync the car with the syncmate to make sure the pump will let the diesel through once i get fuel to it,****in car, pain in the ****in arse, anyway any body got any idea's severely ****ed off pat.

Diesel will not come out of filter unless pump is running. Pump only runs when heater plugs are on. Then when engine is cranked or when it is running. Do the fuel pump test i outline in another thread earlier today.

Check fuse 39 pump relay fuse is not blown 10 amp upto MY1999. 1999 and on 20 amp. Remove pipe from filter. Place in a suitable measuring container. Remove relay 12 from fuse box under bonnet. With ignition switched OFF. Bridge a + wire from battery to terminal 5 on relay socket for ten seconds. Terminal 5 is the one that is directionally contrary to the other three. You should get 180 ml of fuel minimum flow within that time span.

hi wammer's well it's not the fuel as i primed the diesel up to the pump, iam postive know that it's the pump is not letting diesel through because the car is out of sync, and i cant get the becm syncmate to communicate, any idea's pat,why cant this car just have a straightforword fuel pump that dosent need to be synced to the car

As far as i am aware the out of sync causes the spot valve to drop. That is why there is no fuel coming through. You will have to get that sorted.

hi wammer's
what's the spot valve and where is it, if i can get that to open should that let deisel through,so it wouldn't make any difference if the car is out of sync, cheer's pat.

That's my dyslexic typing, should have read STOP valve.
