I've just bought an ISO lead for my RRC. This is what you need;
Car Audio & Security: Car Stereo, Speakers & Subwoofers, Car DVD Players, GPS and CD Changers
OK, thats really strange about the headlamps - I looked through the owners manual earlier today and I'm sure it suggested just undoing the retaining screws (not the adjustment screws), remove the glass, change the bulb and reassemble - perhaps I read it wrong! Hmm...
Derek, I did think about just removing the lining, but the board underneath looks pretty manky too, som would like to recover it really. Is there a way of removing the sliding cover so I can strip the old cloth and affix some new stuff on?
Sounds like the gearbox clunking is normal, so thats good. I really want to get the radio working though, so if anyone can point me in the right direction for the wiring harness that'd be great!
I was quoting from the handbook for the '88 version. Can't remember what mine holds to be honest. Only ever filled it up 3 times - 1st when I bought it - it was £64.75 in March this year which was about 12 gallons so your 14 gallons sounds bob on. I got 17mpg on the rapid motorway journey home to the next fill up. The one after that though I got 11mpg which was a lot of knocking about but the main thing is it wasn't getting warm. Thermostat was u/s. Changed this and filled up again and it did a lot better - around 15mpg which I don't think is bad for a twenty year old 4L truck.the steel ones are only 14 gallons, I know I have got one. 163 miles is all it lasts, and thats with me being sensible
Thanks Pepper - what year is yours? Mine's a 1991...
Fett - I think the older tanks are a bit smaller than the later polyurethane ones!
