My name is Ian and im from Chatham in Kent. I dont currently own a Land Rover, due to having no money, but would love to one day own a 110 Defender and maybe (after a lot of learning) get to do some green laning and challenges. I dont know too much about this but am keen to learn everything about it. Look forward to learning from you guys.

Welcome to the Loonie Zone.

Yours is not a daft way of going about this, read everything on here that you can so that when you come to buying your Landy you won't get conned.

As for laning there are usually a few spare seats on most trips and, as long as you don't mind being referred to as ballast or a gate bunny then you might get out sooner than you imagined.

No i dont mind that lol, I got an off-road experience day coming up soon, which im looking forward to. It will be my first proper drive off-roading. But i have been passenger a couple of times before and really enjoyed it.

and if you become a regular you will find that some people may let you drive for a section or two

a good trick is to suggest that they can take pictures of their vehicle splashing through a ford or crawling up a mud bank, something they can't do from behind the wheel - just keep that to yourself!!!

Welcome. A very sensible and humble intro:) Good luck in your quest for a Landrover mate.:)
