Hi,

Just bought a 2003 discovery 2 TD5 - picking it up on Thursday so no pictures just yet!!!

I think I'm pretty good at fixing stuff including electrics but hoping not to do too much - famous last words......

Sadly, I will be asking loads of stupid questions - you're welcome.....

You did give the back end of the chassis, around the fuel tank, rear suspension a good look I hope?
Repair sections are available though.

Surface rust but didn't seem rotten - its got 12 months MOT so no welding for a little while I hope....

For 11 months

A D2 is all the welding practice you need. Plenty of help with threads/pics on it here of before and after so you will know what you are dealing with.
