Hi. My name is John and I'm from .... Boston, Massachusetts. I'm new to the forum and new to Land Rovers in general, but have always loved the look. Almost bought a Defender in 97', but it would have been a daily driver and didn't seem the most practical vehicle for commuting, running the kids to sports practice on weekends, etc. It was the right decision at the time, but if I'd known they were about to disappear from our shores, and some 15 years later still not have returned I might have pulled the trigger.
So, having never gotten over Land Rovers, having finally gotten the kids out of the house, and having been blessed with a wife who is actually somewhat enthusiastic about the prospect of trying to find/import a used refurbished Defender I've started doing research.
Which has brought me here.
