Mrs Moatmeister gave it the thumbs up!
Hope to have a good look over the new 4.6 p38 rangie tomorrow or friday.Currently done 95k It has LR service history to 70k, not too much documented since but appears to have been well looked after from the overall condition. As said previously hope for it to be a long term keeper if alls well. Got a reasonable workshop and had verious LRs previously but mostly doozles and never a V8. I know what I am getting in to but am completely new to LPG
Checked the blend motor operation, before purchase. Temp range control was fine but seemed to be stuck at windscreen level so that will need looking at. At least it will demist. The book symbol is lit up.
Air suspension seems to work fine, all central locking remote from both keys, all lights and headlight washers/wipers, cd/radio and multifunction steering wheel all good. 4 matching branded tyres all evenly worn. Starts, drives and stops fine. All obvious fluid levels ok with no big leaks. Dry and clean underneath. No spare wheel due to LPG tank. Whats the best solution for that?
Need to pick up the general servicing from a known point. Is there a buying or servicing checklist anywhere on here? Im quite sure this is not the case looking at the general condition but lets assume nothing has been done for the last 25k miles/7 years, so where to start?
What is required for the LPG system? No LPG certificate is that a problem? Will hopefully be towing caravan so cooling system will need to be up to scratch. Footwell carpets bone dry so hopefully heater O rings ok. Should I look to be doing them anyway?
What recommended modern oil and plugs etc? What was recommended by LR 15 years ago may not be the best option now!
Cheers!
