Hi all. I'm starting to repair my 300tdi disco that has been garaged for just over a year since it failed its MOT on some rust issues. I'll post a few pics of it ASAP but I have a question for those who have welded a disco before.....

What thickness is the steel in the roof area? I want to weld up my rear sunroof and alpine windows and eventually the front sunroof too and I want to know what guage steel to buy.

have ya thought of getting a vernier gauge and measuring it? At a guess I'd say 1mm. can't see it been much thicker.
